"Gimme Thrive" Cinnamon Roll Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a mixer, cream the butter for a few minutes until smooth and fluffy. Add in water and egg and mix well, scraping down sides part way through.
  3. Add in the sugar cookie mix. Mix well, until dough begins to clean the sides of the bowl.
  4. Divide dough in half. On a floured board, roll out half the dough to 1/4" thickness and spread with half the melted butter.
  5. Combine cane sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Sprinkle half of this mixture evenly over the rolled out dough.
  6. Starting at the long side, carefully roll up dough like with cinnamon rolls. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and place in freeze for 30 minutes.
  7. Repeat with other half of dough.
  8. Remove from freezer, remove plastic wrap, and slice into 3/4" slices. Place these on the cookie sheet, leaving 2" space in between cookies. (Return any slices that don't fit to the freezer.)
  9. Bake for 11 minutes.
  10. Prepare glaze by combining powdered sugar and milk, mixing well. Drizzle over cookies.
